L E O N C O U N T Y A C A D E M I C L E A G U E EST. 2026 Leon County ACADEMIC · LEAGUE

Founding sponsor

Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber is the League's intended founding sponsor. The League operates as the K-12 extension of the Chamber's "Talent Capital of Florida" initiative and aligns directly to all three of the Chamber's published strategic priorities.

Three Chamber priorities the League advances

  • Talent / Workforce / Education

The League is the K-12 extension of the "Talent Capital of Florida" initiative. Academic competition builds the same skills colleges and employers in Tallahassee say they need: research, recall, fast accurate reasoning, and the discipline to study material a coach cannot supply.

  • Economic Competitiveness

Programs like Detroit Catholic Central and Thomas Jefferson High School have become competitive draws for relocating families. A serious academic league signals that Tallahassee's public, private, and charter schools share a higher floor.

  • Community & Prosperity

Match nights bring students, coaches, parents, and chaperones from fourteen schools together every week. A weekly civic ritual aimed at the smartest students in the county, not the loudest.

Corporate sponsorship

Tiers

  • Founding Capital

    $25,000

Names the league's inaugural season. Recognition in every match-night program, the league letterhead, and the season's final award presentation.

  • Founding Partner

    $10,000

Recognition across the season program, the website, and the January NAQT championship event materials.

  • Founding Friend

    $5,000

Listed in season programs and on the website. Helps underwrite fee waivers for schools that need them.

All sponsorship at every tier directly supports schools and students. After equipment, the Board's first call on incremental funds is coach stipends.
